Community Development Block Grant

(CDBG)

The Village of Hempstead is a member of Nassau County Urban Consortium, which consists of towns, cities, and villages located in Nassau County. The Consortium is an "entitlement community" under federal law and its members are eligible for grants awarded by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) under the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. Community Development Block Grants, enable entitlement community members to carry out a wide range of community development activities that are directed towards improving community facilities and services, revitalizing neighborhoods, and increasing economic development.

41st Program Year - September 1, 2015 to August 31, 2016

42nd Program Year - September 1, 2016 to August 31, 2017

43rd Program Year - September 1, 2017 to August 31, 2018

44th Program Year - September 1, 2018 to August 31, 2019

45th Program Year - September 1, 2019 to August 31, 2020

47th Program Year - September 1, 2021 to August 31, 2022
