The Village of Hempstead Community Development Agency believes in creating and maintaining an attractive Village. The Cleanup Hempstead program does exactly that. The program offers support to community groups that can assist the Village by identifying and implementing a cleanup strategy that will rehabilitate and preserve community areas within the Village. The program provides funding for plants and materials used to enhance the community.  

The Village of Hempstead CDA has been working closely with Adelphi University and their Freshman Community Action Program (FCAP) to do a clean up every year. The volunteers from Adelphi University work to cleanup up gardens, plant flower, paint, and many other projects throughout the Village.

This year the volunteers will be coming on August 23, 2017 to help do projects throughout the Village.
